Treatment Process
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING SAME-DAY CROWN TREATMENT

Consultation
At your initial consultation at our Greenville or Plymouth office, our dentist will examine your teeth using advanced technology to determine if a crown is right for you. We will explain the treatment process and answer any questions you may have.

Preparation
In some cases, a tooth with extensive decay may need root canal therapy to address pain and infection in preparation for a dental crown.

Shaping
The top and sides of your tooth are gently reshaped to ensure the crown fits snugly over the tooth.

Impressions
Your dentist uses an intraoral camera to scan the tooth and design your crown. The porcelain material is color-matched with surrounding teeth to ensure a seamless appearance. The images are sent to our onsite CEREC machine.

Fabrication
The CEREC machine mills your custom crown out of porcelain as you wait in our comfortable office. This eliminates the need for a temporary crown or second dental appointment.

Placement
Once the crown is ready, our dentist places it over the tooth to ensure a comfortable fit. Any necessary adjustments are made before permanently cementing the crown.
